Dave and I went to St. Cloud for the Tax Day Tea Party event held there today. There were quite a few people there and most people were calm and respectful. Dave saw a couple of guys who got into a policeman’s face about not being able to stay in the road, but the officer handled himself very well.

Here are some photos. Click on them to see a larger version.

Tax Day Tea Party

Posted by Terrie Soberg Comments Off

Tomorrow is America’s Tax Day. Tea Parties are being held across the country, reminiscent of the Boston Tea Party in 1773. This is not supposed to be a partisan event–it’s not about Republicans and Democrats but rather about the Constitution and our Liberty.

From the Tax Day Tea Party site:

What is this Tea Party effort all about?

The Tea Party effort is just a small piece of a much larger movement aimed at restoring the basic free-market principles our country was built on. The Constitution, for the most part, is being ignored by our current government and we intend on working together to correct the problem.

The Tea Party effort is a grassroots, collaborative volunteer organization made up of every day American citizens from across the country. We take pride in the fact that we’ve built a 50 state network of leaders and activists using nothing more than the internet, a few websites and a burning desire to restore freedom.

If you are upset at our current tax situation and more importantly, the Constitutional principles that are being trampled upon, attend a tea party near you to show your support, or at least watch Fox News to see the turnout!
